Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026
You own what you make. We make it, store it for a while and publish it where you tell us to. Do not use SocialReel for anything the acceptable use policy rules out, and download the videos you want to keep.
The agreement
These terms are between you and SocialReel. By creating an account you agree to them, to the privacy policy and to the acceptable use policy. You must be 18 or over. If you use SocialReel for an organisation, you agree for it and confirm you may.
The service
SocialReel turns a prompt into a short video — script, voiceover, footage, subtitles and music — and can publish it to social accounts you connect. Scripts, voices and footage are produced by AI models and stock libraries, so a video can contain mistakes: review it before you publish it.
Every video contains AI-generated content: the voiceover is always synthetic, and AI footage is generated. Where the platform you publish to or the law requires AI-generated or synthetic content to be labelled, labelling it when you publish is your responsibility.
SocialReel is an independent product built on third-party AI models and services, which the privacy policy names. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with it. Use a real, lasting email address — addresses from disposable-inbox services are refused.
The free trial
The free trial is two videos per person, for good, not per month. Trial videos are full quality and carry a SocialReel watermark. Opening more accounts to get more trial videos is not allowed, and deleting an account does not give its email address a new trial.
Plans, credits and billing
- Paid plans renew every month, or every year on an annual plan, until cancelled. You can change plan, or move from monthly to annual billing, from Billing at any time; the change takes effect immediately and the difference for the rest of the current period is charged, or the unused part is refunded, pro rata.
- Each plan includes a number of videos per month and, on Pro and Business, AI-footage credits; unused videos and included credits do not carry over to the next month.
- Credits you buy separately do not expire while your account exists. They are lost if you delete the account.
- If a video fails to render for any reason, the video and credits it used are given back automatically.
- Limits are hard caps: nothing is billed as overage. When a limit is reached, the next video waits for the next month, a bigger plan or more credits.
- Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record and the seller to you, under its buyer terms. Cancel at any time from Billing; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
- We will tell you before a price change applies to you.
Your content
You keep all rights to your prompts and to the videos made from them, as far as the law lets anyone own them. You give us the permission we need to provide the service — to process your prompts, generate and store the videos, and send them to the providers and platforms described in the privacy policy — and nothing more. We do not use your content to train AI models.
You are responsible for what you publish, and for having the rights to anything you add to a video. Stock footage comes under its libraries' licences, which allow its use in your videos but not reselling the clips on their own.
What is not allowed
Anything the acceptable use policy rules out. In particular, you may not use SocialReel to generate sexual, explicit or sexually suggestive content of any kind, violent, deceptive or impersonating content, or deepfakes. Every prompt and script is checked automatically before a video is made; content that fails is not made, you are told which categories it failed, and repeated attempts are paused for a while. You can ask for a person to review a refusal. Also not allowed: breaking the law or the terms of the platforms you publish to, attacking or overloading the service, or reselling access to it.
Publishing to other platforms
Publishing works through your own accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, and their terms apply to what you post there — including YouTube's own Terms of Service. Those platforms can refuse, limit or remove a post; we cannot promise that one will be accepted, and a post removed there is not something we can restore.
How long videos are kept
Videos are deleted automatically 7 days after they are made on the free trial and 90 days after on a paid plan. Download the ones you want to keep; we are not able to recover a video once it has been deleted.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Warranties and liability
SocialReel is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or that its output will suit any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Governing law and changes
Disputes that cannot be settled informally go to the courts that have jurisdiction over them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
When these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies; carrying on using SocialReel afterwards means you accept it. Questions: support@socialreel.app.
